Med-Exec, Inc. was founded June 1992 in Southern California, as a direct response to unprecedented growth in the public and private healthcare sectors.  With this growth came the need for highly qualified talent able to meet the challenges of managed care organizations, hospital systems, and provider groups.  Combining in-depth healthcare industry knowledge with over 25 years executive search experience, the Med-Exec team offers a unique consultative service tailored to meet the individual needs of our candidates and clients.

Emily Outhwaite, President & Founder
Emily has been active in the healthcare industry for over 25 years.  While completing an undergraduate degree in Health Administration, she embarked on her healthcare career.  Her related experience includes:  Marketing & Sales Management for home health agencies, Marketing Management for acute care hospitals, and Cancer Program Management.

While completing her Master’s Degree in Business, Emily embarked on a new career as an Executive Search Consultant.  She brought her healthcare industry knowledge and passion for excellence to one of the largest and most successful recruiting firms in California.

Soon after receiving her MBA from Pepperdine University’s Graziadio School of Business, Emily founded Med-Exec, Inc., an executive recruiting firm specializing in managed care and healthcare executive search. Focusing on mid to upper level management positions, her clients included: national and regional managed care organizations, provider groups, hospitals and hospital systems.

Now with Med-Exec Solutions, Emily and her team continue providing exceptional service and value by marrying top notch candidates with high-quality employers.  Ensuring access to the best talent available in the market, Emily continues to expand her network, industry knowledge, and contacts through active involvement with numerous healthcare, managed care, and professional staffing associations.
